I've never been convinced by big band jazz, but Stan Kenton and Dizzy Gillespie have a very good stab at things here. But what was Bobby Sherwood thinking?

No idea what Bobby Sherwood was thinking... But, I wanted to ask something else. There's a note on the album sleeve saying "czech". What's got "czech" to do with this Capitol release of big band jazz?
No idea - a friend of mine gave this to me around 1970 and this was written on it, along with "2/6" i.e. two shillings and sixpence in old British money (£0.125).
